Historic Hotel Sandford, built in 1913, has been completely renovated and is now the finest SENIORS 55+ ONLY  Single Occupancy residential hotel in Downtown San Diego, California. Qualified seniors enjoy safe, comfortable accommodations at reasonable rates. The 1988-89 restoration included complete reconstruction of much of the existing structure to capture its original grandeur while carefully integrating new mechanical and electrical systems as well as new life safety systems, throughout.

Our single occupancy studio apartments are comfortably furnished with a blend of original pieces, reproductions and compatible arts. All rooms have private baths, security intercoms and smoke detectors. A resident manager lives in the hotel; the front desk is staffed 24 hours per day.
